49 riders turned up at our Easter
Club Trial which, weather-wise, was more like Christmas!
The snow, sleet and rain of the previous
day which continued spasmodically on the Sunday
morning meant that in spite of
Brian and Roger’s best efforts (which continued right up to
the start time) the Horsmonden course maintained it’s reputation of being like
a skating rink
(only muddier!) in the wet. Brian
had marked out 14 sections and the 15th was getting out of
the field! But as everyone had
parked facing downhill as directed, even that wasn’t too bad.
Thank you all for your patience.
My thanks to Brian, Roger, Ian
(standing in for Barry) and Dorothy.
And nobody actually complained.
In fact several riders said that they had enjoyed it. Sadists!
Ray.
