I’m afraid I missed the last social evening on 19th August as I completely forgot about it. Signs of old age creeping on I think!
It was to be a Quiz Night but perhaps due to holidays (and people like me who forgot) there were only ten members turned up and two of those were the quiz masters so it was decided that it wasn’t worth doing it. Everyone just had a natter & noggin together with Dorothy’s goodies (all the more reason to come to these events).
Quiz Night has now been postponed to the September social night on Thursday 23rd September so make sure you put this date on your calendars!
Sunday 22nd August was our annual OWLS Reunion Day and ten bikes went on a 23 mile run led by Kevin (three got lost but hopefully ended up back at Weald Village Hall).
There were fifteen bikes in all at the Weald plus the 1934 Morgan with 35 people sitting down for lunch so this popular day was well attended.
After lunch there was a raffle and then Bruno and Ray presented rosettes for the Oldest Machine which was Andy’s Morgan, the Newest Machine which was Barry’s Yamaha and the bike Ray would most like to take home - Pete Cousins’ Triumph (Ray didn’t get to take it home though!).
